UBE Latte (hot/iced)

warm, comforting & oh-so-photogenic!

You’ll need:

  • 1–2 tbsp Masarap Ube Kinampay powder
  • 1 cup fresh milk (or any plant-based milk)
  • 1 shot espresso or ½ cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1–2 tsp sugar or honey (optional)
  • 2 tbsp hot water (for dissolving the Ube Kinampay powder)
  • Ice (for iced version)

Optional toppings:

  • Whipped cream
  • Ube foam
  • A sprinkle of ube powder on top

DIRECTIONS:

1. To rehydrate the ube kinampay powder, mix it with 2 tbsp hot water until smooth and fully dissolved.

2. In a cup or glass, combine the dissolved ube kinampay powder with milk. Stir well until the colour becomes evenly purple.

3. Add sugar or honey if you prefer a sweeter latte. Mix well.

4. Slowly pour the espresso or strong brewed coffee over the ube milk.

5. Serve and enjoy!

Tips: For ICED ube latte: Add ice cubes before pouring the coffee. For HOT ube latte: Warm the milk first before mixing.
